University Health Services was established with the following clear mandates:

1.      To provide health care services: curative, preventive as well as rehabilitative services.

2.      To advise on health matters generally to the university community.

In furtherance of these functions, the University has set up outpatient department facilities for both students and staff (together with their dependants) in almost all campuses.  The clinics are fully manned by qualified, competent, experienced human resource for health of all cadres. Several Medical Officers, Clinical Officers and Nurses form the bulk of primary health providers in all facilities.
