Over the years, the University of Nairobi has crowned many students with different degree and diplomas in various specializations drawn from the six colleges. During the 1st congregation for the inauguration of the University  of Nairobi and for the conferment and presentation of degrees and diplomas at the Great Court in December 10, 1970, a total of 460 graduated. To date, over 188,000 have graduated from the University of Nairobi.
