Synthesis. I have been working at CIRAD at UMR AMAP since 2004 as a botanist. My research concerns the study of tropical forest flora with a particular interest for mangrove forests and the architecture of different groups of plants, especially those of hemi-epiphytes. I develop applications for the identification of plants (IDAO) by considering the morphological characteristics of the whole plant and not only those of flowers. I coordinate and carry out field missions in tropical forests (India, Laos, Gabon, Cameroon, Congo, French Guyana, Venezuela) and in mangroves (India, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Costa Rica). I obtained different financings for the realization of my studies in tropical environment. I taught at the University of Montpellier, and I have a preference to transmit my know-how in the field of botany to students from the tropics and in the field.
