The Eastern Africa Real Estate Conference is an eminent annual event that gathers practitioners and industry stakeholders in the Eastern Africa Real Estate environment. During March 2014, PwC released Real Estate 2020: Building the future, a report which highlights global trends and makes certain predictions about the real estate industry up to 2020. The report made six predictions for the African Real estate market for 2020 and beyond. The report predicted that technological innovation and sustainability will be key drivers for value and collaborating with governments will become more important. Hence why the 2017 conference theme is ‘Harnessing synergies in the built environment through professional collaborations.’ The conference aims to demystify collaboration and emphasise that it truly is the future.

The conference, in its fourth year running, will cover key topics ranging from green construction, talent management in organisations, alternative dispute resolution, finance and capital structuring, data banking, business modelling and much much more.

Delegates will also have the opportunity to present papers written on a topic of their choice within the thematic areas. Dates for submission and writing guidelines are attached in the document herewith.

The conference will take place from the 5th to 6th July 2017 at the Radisson Blu Hotel, followed by a Surveyors Golf Day on the 7th of July at the Vetlabs Golf course with an optional tour of Two Rivers Mall on the same day. Charges for the conference are Ksh 15,000 and Ksh 2,000 for the Golf tournament.
