Call for proposals: Post-doctoral research fellowships

The Consortium for National Health Research (CNHR),  a non-governmental
organization registered in Kenya, is through its Devolved Research for
Health in Prior Areas (DReHPA) program seeking to sponsor twenty (20)
post-doctoral fellowships.

Successful applicants will receive a one-year post-doctoral research
fellowship that will allow them to conduct research in either North
Eastern, Upper Eastern, Lower Eastern, Nyanza, Western, North Rift, South
Rift, Nairobi, Central or Coastal regions.

This one year fellowship scheduled to begin on 1 September 2016 and end
August 20, 2017 will provide funding up to 2,000,000 (Two million Kenyan
shillings) and a stipend.

Submitted proposals must demonstrate policy and practice relevance.


-Be Kenyan Citizens

-Be a recent (past five years) PhD degree graduate from a recognized

-Be currently based/allied to an institution in Kenya and in the region in
which they seek to apply for the DReHPA grant

-Provide a letter of support from the County Executive for Health in the
county in which the research will be conducted

-The proposal should focus on research in priority areas of the
region/county in which the research for health will be conducted

-Provide a letter of support from the head of the institution the
researchers is affiliated to

-The proposal should have five main sections including the background
information, problem statement, methodology (implementation schedule),
work plan, budget with notes and references

-Proposals should demonstrate policy and practice relevance
